Junior Academy (U18)

The James Brooker Junior Academy endeavours to create a professional and inspiring environment for children to hone their golfing skills.

 

Coaching is delivered through small group sessions (groups of 4), and the popular group environment of Junior Club.

 

Coaching will cover every facet of the game, including Long game, Short game, Putting, Strategy, Psychology and Fitness.

It is a truly holistic learning experience.

Students work their way through a year-long curriculum that will cover all of the above.

The Junior Academy

 

School term-time coaching sessions covering all areas of golf. This is designed for children aspiring to reach the next level of their golfing journey. 

All coaching sessions last 1 hour and include use of video and Trackman technology. The students also undertake various skills tests that are monitored to show progression.  

There are only 20 available spaces for this programme. (Max 4 per class)

Children MUST be a member of a golf club, have an official golf handicap and be competing in county events to be considered. 

The programme also includes Junior Club.  Coaching meetings spread throughout the year at different venues across the county.

It presents an opportunity for the young golfers to get together and train together. 

 

Environment is key in any young sportspersons development. The aim of Junior Club is to create a learning space for the child to realise their potential, whilst training alongside friends.

Junior Club involves time on the golf course, skills testing, swing evaluation and periodisation planning. Themes differ depending on the time of year. 

 They usually run in the Easter, Summer and October school holidays.

Tuesdays - 6pm-7pm

Tuesdays - 7pm-8pm

Wednesdays - 7pm-8pm

Thursdays - 7pm-8pm
