The 3 Pillars of the Kid's Academy:
Golf Classes
Golf classes delivered in weekly instalments and 6-week blocks. There are 5 Skills academy members will grow and develop before they graduate; Behaviour skills, Movement skills, Putting skills, Short game skills and Long game skills.
Once the 6-week block is concluded, the children head onto the golf course to test their technique on the 1st Tee Tour!
Competitions
The stepping stone from the classes to the golf course and competition!
Our graduated tee structure means that competitive golf can be accessible for children of any age and ability.
Newcomers begin their journey from a tee just 25 yards from the green and aim to shoot level par (36 strokes) or better to earn their first Bag tag!
Once completed they move further back, stopping at 50 yards and then 100 yards, until they reach the Academy Course Tees!
The 1st Tee Tour events are held on Saturday mornings during school holidays.
Team Golf
Golf as part of a team where the children venture to other golf clubs in the region to compete.
A Golf Sixes squad is comprised of 12 children. The academy enters three teams each year (Boys Teams: Foxes & Cubs and the Girls Team).
Matchday teams of 6 players compete against the other clubs over a 6-hole layout with tees ranging from 50-200 yards.
The Golf Sixes season runs from May to October every year.
